Although, the entrepreneurship option represents one of the most effective ways to fight against unemployment and improve the living conditions and wellbeing of people, small business owners face a range of challenges to successfully launch and grow their businesses such as access to capital or seed funding, the marketplace and business opportunities.
Kadiwaku is teaming up with Equity Bank to extend our efforts aiming to help PWDs to achieve financial sustainability. For the next three years, we look forward to reaching at least 500 PWDs, especially girls and women with disabilities. In order to achieve this, we will provide financial education workshop and bank account opening which are first step towards applying for a loan that will help to get their business ideas off the ground or boost their existing businesses.
The financial education workshops will cover a range of topics to help participants understand the basic of financial literacy including how to budget, track spending, pay off debt and the process to follow to apply for a loan at Equity Bank and other microfinance institutions and banks.
